MedicWatch is an application developed and operated by Güije Studios ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how your data is handled when you use the app.
We have no servers and no databases. We do not store, read or sell your medication or health data. Everything stays on your devices and in your own private iCloud.
Güije Studios operates no servers of its own and no cloud database we can read. There is no account in our systems because we have no systems that store your information. Everything the app does happens on your device or in your personal iCloud account, which we cannot access.
Your medications, schedules, doses, confirmation history and preferences are stored locally on your iPhone via SwiftData. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
To sync between a caregiver and the person they care for, MedicWatch uses Apple CloudKit with a private share (CKShare) that you create with a 6-digit code. Medication and confirmation records are stored in your own iCloud account and shared directly with the family member you link to. Güije Studios is not a party to that share and cannot see, read or store those records. iCloud is operated by Apple under Apple's privacy terms.
Medication reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. Missed-dose alerts to the caregiver are delivered through your shared CloudKit data and Apple's notification systems.
Reminders and confirmations on Apple Watch are exchanged with your iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity, between your own devices.
Purchases (MedicWatch PRO) are handled entirely through Apple (StoreKit / App Store), including Family Sharing. Güije Studios does not receive, process or store card or banking data. Apple shares only your subscription status.
We do not sell or share your data; we show no ads; we run no third-party analytics or advertising trackers; we keep no copy of your medications or health information.
MedicWatch is not directed to children under 13. A caregiver may manage medications on behalf of a family member of any age.
